She was predeceased by: her parents, Rachel Lurtsema and Ralph Lurtsema; and her sisters, Cathy Summerlin and Margie Martin. She is survived by: her husband Wayne Monroe Merritt, Sr.; her children, Sherry M. Scholl, Debbie S. Chism (Dan) and Wayne Merritt II (Blake Hickok); her grandchildren, Alison Chism (Natalie Hopkins), Kyle Chism (Carolina), Brittney Shelton (Robert) and Brandy Scholl; and her great grandchildren, Rylah and Wayde Shelton.
