It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leonathy Black of Simpsonville, South Carolina, born in Greenville, South Carolina, who passed away on March 15, 2024, at the age of 103, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Black; and her parents, Oliver Brock and Janie Bell Griffin Brock. She is survived by: her children, Frankie Black of Simpsonville, SC, Teresa Evans of Simpsonville, SC, Betty Jean Lester of Simpsonville, SC, John Thomas Brock (Hattie B.) of Piedmont, SC and Rev. Richard Allen Black of Simpsonville, SC. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
