He was predeceased by: his parents, Grady Isaac Hamby and Laura Mae Babb Hamby; his mother-in-law Beulah Howard; his nephew Ted Hamby; and his cousin Jerry Hamby.
He is survived by: his wife Dianne Howard Hamby; his daughter Laura McLeod (Malcolm); his brother Dan Hamby; his sister-in-law Jeannie Hamby; his grandsons, Mac McLeod and Chapman McLeod; his niece Holly; and his great-niece Olivia.
