It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katherine Anne Melson of Simpsonville, South Carolina, born in Aiken, South Carolina, who passed away on November 23, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Kenneth W. Stange. She is survived by: her mother Anne Lomas Stange; her husband Jimmy; her son Van; her brother Kenny Stange (Stephanie); her brother-in-law Kirk Melson (Weslyn); her nieces and nephews, Rivers and John Melson (Tiffany); and her parents-in-law, Kirk and Edie Melson.
Due to COVID-19, mask will be required for those attending the funeral service and everyone is asked to practice "social distancing". Burial will be private for the family in the Simpsonville City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the GoFundMe page that has been set up to benefit their son, Van.
