He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothea Ryerson and Wilbur Ryerson; and his wife Antonia Marie Ryerson. He is survived by: his daughter Michele Anne Watson (Coy); his grandsons, Caleb and Landon; his pet Brodie; his son David John Ryerson; and his grandchildren, Dustin, Dezarae, Dakota, Robert Wendell Ryerson of Pembroke, Nancy Ryerson and Kenney. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in John's honor to the American Heart Association.
