He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry Nelson and Kathleen Braun Nelson; his sister Noreen; his brothers-in-law, Paul Brewer and William Distler; and his nephew Paul Brewer.
He is survived by: his close friend Christine Keller; and his sister Peggy Nelson Distler.
