He is survived by: his wife Edith Mehlhorn Sanders; his children, James Thomas Sanders, Jr. (Myra Louise) of Simpsonville and Angela Marie Patterson of Simpsonville; his grandchildren, James Thomas Sanders III (Taylor Paige), Justin Andrew Sanders, Diana Marie Patterson and Jeffrey Nathaniel Sanders; his great grandchild Kayleigh Wren Sanders; and his sister Susan Sanders Slauson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Greenville Humane Society.
