With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Iduna Beason of Simpsonville, South Carolina, who passed away on December 15, 2024 at the age of 93. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Iduna Beason to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Beason of Simpsonville; her parents, Willie Douglas "Bob" Godfrey and Gladys Lou Kemp Godfrey; her husbands, John Bevley Pearson and Henry Cox; her siblings, John Godfrey (JB), Alvin Godfrey and Myrtice Sherbert; and her niece Lisa Foster.
She is survived by: her daughters, Rhonda Talley (Ron) of Simpsonville and Becky Gault (Sam) of Fountain Inn; her brother Harold Godfrey (Tracy) of Greer; her grandchildren, Michael Talley (Andrea), Kelly Groom (Rich), Cory Gault (Rebecca) and Kimberly Abdella (Chris); her great grandchildren, Shannon Talley, David Talley, Pearson Groom, Holland Groom, CeCe Gault, Sam Gault, Lilly Gault Abdella and Christopher Abdella; and her sisters-in-law, Cecila Godfrey and Ruthell Godfrey. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM at the Clear Spring Baptist Church (301 Bethany Rd, Simpsonville, SC 29681). Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 3:45 PM to 4:15 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 4:15 PM to 4:30 PM at the Clear Spring Baptist Church Cemetery (301 Bethany Rd, Simpsonville, SC 29681).
