He was predeceased by: his parents, Hughey Hinton and Susie Mae Canfield Hinton; his children, Jean Marie Timms and Harold Jeffrey Hinton; and his siblings, Jerry J. Hinton, Bill Hinton and Joyce Hardin.
He is survived by: his children, Vickie Brown of Greenville, Jay Hinton of Greenville and Jamie Hinton of Greer. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
