He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Methvin and Leona Methvin; his son Gary D. Methvin; his granddaughter Amanda Methvin; his great grandchild Samuel Methvin; and his brother Gary W. Methvin.
He is survived by: his son Steven Methvin (Glenda); his grandchildren, Sarah Poss (Jordan), Gordon Methvin (Sarah), Travis Methvin (Alexa) and Troy Methvin (Shannon); his great grandchildren, Sophie Poss, Joseph Poss, George Poss, Michael Poss, Jack Poss, Thomas Methvin, Trevor Methvin, Trent Methvin and Christopher Methvin; his brother Dr. Stephen Don Methvin (Louann); and his daughter-in-law Mary Methvin.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the New Covenant Church (2601 TX-73, Port Arthur, TX 77640).
