He was predeceased by: his parents, James Oscar Johnson and Gracie Burts Jonhson; and his siblings, Virginia Johnson Fogle, Mary Johnson Ferguson, Annie Mas Johnson Jenkins, Roosevelt Johnson and James Calvin Johnson.
He is survived by: his daughter Tracy Anita Massey (Lee); his stepdaughter Brenda Faye Boyce of Greenville; his son Artis Johnson (Phedra) of Simpsonville; his stepson Donald Johnson of Greenville; and his siblings, Rev Flora Johnson Winestock of Greenville, Queen Hood of Greenville, Ella Mae Pennie of Miami Florida and Luther Johnson of Greenville. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren.
