He was predeceased by: his parents, Venerd A. Burden and Grace Rose Burden; his former wife Joy Bush Burden; and his brother-in-law Bill Mouser. He is survived by: his wife Judy Ann Fesperman Burden; his children, Anne Ely, Linda Hall (Jack), Susan Gulley (Mike) and Ronald Frederick Burden, Jr.; his stepdaughters, Stephanie Baker (Jeff) and Melissa Fowler (Craig); his siblings, Connie Russell (John), Jack Burden (Jean) and Mary Lynne Mouser; and his grandchildren, Ken Ely (Kristin), Dan Ely, Tony Ely, Christy Ely Javers (Jason), Meghan Hall Gora (Brett), Dr. David Hall (Beth), Christopher Gulley, Sean Gulley, Lucas Burden and Sydney Fowler. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
