Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Dortha Spearman of Simpsonville, South Carolina, born in Pelzer, South Carolina, who passed away at the age of 83, on January 29, 2021. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Murphy and Lucille Murphy; and her husband David Spearman of Pelzer. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Sarah Spearman, Catherine and Chip Spearman of Greensboro, GA.; her brothers, Durane (Frankie Murphy) and Jerry (Joyce Murphy); her sons, Rick Spearman (Sally) of Fredericksburg, VA and Phillip Spearman of Simpsonville, SC.; and her great grandchild Emry Alexandra.

Due to Covid-19, the family requests that masks be worn, and social distancing observed.

To honor her love for her dogs, and the companionship and comfort they gave her, in lieu of flowers, the family requests remembrances to Greenville Humane Society, 305 Airport Road (or greenvillehumane.com).

Dot always kept in touch with my .Mom after we moved to Charleston. Dot is now with the love of her life and now she is happy. We love you Dot. Sylvia and Pat”
