With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Eugene Burgess (Simpsonville, South Carolina), born in Rutherfordton, North Carolina, who passed away on March 6, 2019. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Eugene Burgess and Ollie Shields Burgess; and his brother Randy Camp. He is survived by: his spouse Patricia Jones Burgess; his daughters, Amanda Burgess Wren (Michael) of Columbia and Caroline Burgess Dalton (Brendan) of Ipswich, MA; his grandchildren, Samuel Sawyer Wren, Mary Prater Wren, Jacob Patrick Dalton and Connor Shields Dalton; his siblings, Dennis E. Burgess and Patricia Clark (Don); his brother-in-law Richard Lerch; and his uncles, Hayes Burgess and Vinson Burgess. He is also survived by his daughters, his special sons-in-law, and his precious grandchildren.
