He was predeceased by: his parents, George Ricks and Reiko Ricks; and his son Daniel Wesley Ricks Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Choy Thomas, Riko Ricks (Elizabeth) and Brianna Ricks; and his daughter-in-law Georgia Ricks. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, three brothers, and one sister.
