It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dakota Tumlin (Simpsonville, South Carolina), who passed away on August 20, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dakota Tumlin to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her husband Roy Lee Tumlin; her parents, William Henry "Bill" Griffith and Florie Elizabeth Wood Griffith; and her brother Wayne Griffith. She is survived by: her children, Ashley Tumlin (Dana), Kay Clark (Butch) and Lynn Buddin (Chip). She is also survived by five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

“I am so sorry to learn of the death of Dakota. We were very close friends when Ashley and Lori (my daughter) were in school. We had some fun times together,and enjoyed visiting on the telephone. Over the past few years, we did not talk as much, but I always considered her a dear friend. She had a bright, sunny disposition that always made me smile. My sympathies to Karen, Lynn, and Ashley at this difficult time. Love to All, Loretta Kingsmore”
