He was predeceased by: his spouse Claire Lober; his parents, Andrew Lober and Mary Lober; and his siblings, Jimmy and Mary.
He is survived by: his children, James Andrew Lober (Shirley) of Salisbury, NC, Charles Arthur Lober (Sandra) of Birmingham, AL, Dr. Stephen Bruce Lober (Katherine) of Athens, GA and Maria Lober Schell (Josh) of Simpsonville, SC.; his grandchildren, Jason Lober, Nicole Lober, Erin Sofianos, Ryan Lober, Alexander Lober and Ashlie Cromer; and his great grandchildren, Amelia, Alexander, Emmet Sofianos, Jackson, Hampton, Harrison Lober, Daphne Lober and Charlie Cromer.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 915 Mathis Road, Greenwood, SC 29649.
