He was predeceased by: his wife Martha Garrett; his parents, L. C. Garrett, Sr. and Lola Garrett; his siblings, L. C. "Buddy" Garrett, Jr., Nora Garrett Barnhill and Anne Garrett Smith; and his brother-in-law Joe Suddeth.
He is survived by: his children, Leslie Clark (Chris) and Monty Garrett (Sandy); his grandchildren, Christine Massey (Michael), Natalie Garrett, April Garrett and Billy Lynn Clark (Savannah); and his sisters-in-law, Rachel Suddeth and Linda Walker (Ernest). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
