As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Bill may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Waters, Sr. and Willie Mahaffey Waters. He is survived by: his wife Betty Frasier Waters; his daughter Daphne Golightly; his granddaughter Ashley Redd; and his sisters, Barbara Lee and Alice Barwick. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes - Southeast Chapel (1604 NE Main St, Simpsonville, SC 29681). A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park (2609 US-29, Anderson, SC 29621).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Church of God Home for Children or to the Missions Program at Praise Cathedral, reflecting his lifelong commitment to nurturing others.

“Sister Waters this is David and Faye Gunnells (Goff) We are sister and brother and son and daughter of Sara Gunnells from Durst Ave.Church Of God where yall pastured us for years .Bro Waters officiated most of the members of my families that have passed funeral services which was very much appreciated.and we loved yall very much. So very sad to hear of Bro Watrrs passing and sorry we couldn't attend services but our hearts were there .I hope God blesses you and your family during this t.ime”
