It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Beulah Mae McDowell of Simpsonville, South Carolina, born in Laurens, South Carolina, who passed away on June 18, 2022, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Frank Boyd and Willie Mae Cleveland Boyd. She is survived by: her children, Leonard McDowell (Mary) of Greenville, Michael McDowell of Greenville, Sadie Chapman of Mauldin, Brenda McDowell of Greenville, Sandra Copeland of Simpsonville and Dorothy Wallace (John) of Mauldin; her siblings, William Billy Boyd of Laurens and Charlotte Thomas of Grand Rapid, Michigan; and her granddaughters, Tomeka Payton (DeBario) of Simpsonville, Thalencia McDowell of Greenville and Leticia Garrett of Greenville. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and seventeen great-great grandchildren.
