She was predeceased by: her father James Woodrow Meekins, Sr.. She is survived by: her mother Willie Mae Golden Meekins; her husband Robert A. Young; her children, Tracy Bernard Young (Twanda) and Lisa RoBretta Gaffney (Troy); and her siblings, James Woodrow Meekins, Jr., Janie Etta Meekins Jefferson, Georgia Ann Meekins Johnson (Leon), Annie Ruth Meekins Riggins (Leon) and Linda Faye Meekins Kinlaw. She is also survived by four grandchildren.
