It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara Watzin of Simpsonville, South Carolina, who passed away on May 5, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Friebel and Loretta Friebel; her husband Richard Watzin; and her sister Helen Jackson. She is survived by: her son James Watzin (Leslie); her grandchildren, Mary Watzin, Anne King (Donald), Susan Murff (Chuck), Joan Allen, Daniel Reynolds, Bryon Reynolds, John Reynolds, Barbara Reynolds, Amber Strunck, Beth Sulkowski, Stephen Allen, Jeff Allen, Mark Allen, Brian Watzin, Megan Watzin, Tyler Watzin, Shay Kappel, Andy Cusick, Sabrina Cusick, Zachary Reynolds, Lucas Reynolds and Bailey Reynolds; her niece Chris Jackson; and her nephews, Dave Jackson (Deb), Mike Jackson (Terri) and Joe Jackson (Laura). She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
She delivered for Meals on Wheels, crocheted shawls for cancer patients, and created masks for church services and for others during the pandemic.
