He was predeceased by: his wife Elda Zayas. He is survived by: his parents, Angel Zayas and Irma Flores Zayas; and his children, Miguel Zayas (Meghan) and Kimberly Milton (Matthew).

“Dear elda and children, i am very sorry to hear of angel's passing. I had such a wonderful experience working with him in lock haven pa. He was such a brilliant process engineer. He took time to get my input on his motor data sheets that he issued. I know he is in heaven preparing a homecoming for his family and friends. I pray for healing and strength in this very sad time. He was also very proud father and spoke often about his children. God bless you all sending prayers! Jason buda”
