He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Wiggins Boggs; his parents, Homer R. Boggs and Betty Kelly Boggs; and his siblings, Roy, Carl Boggs and Nell Carpenter.
He is survived by: his son James Alan Boggs (Cindy) of Greenville; his grandson Tyler Alan Boggs (Alyssa Laven); and his nieces, Betty Ann Boggs, Carol Lane, Marlene Petree and Jane Ratlif.
