It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Frieda R. Mitchell of Sheldon, South Carolina, who passed away at the age of 95, on October 15, 2020. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She is survived by: her daughters, Dr. Muriel Ann Hawkins and Karen Hawkins-Ulmer; her grandchildren, Amanda Lawrence (Greg Lawrence, Sr.) and Dr. Jamal Scott (Racquel Scott); and her great grandchildren, Gregory Lawrence, II, Justin Lawrence, Taylor Wise (Dave Wise), Nicholas Scott, Sarai Alford and Logan Scott. She is also survived by three great grandchildren and many loving family and friends.
Because of COVID-19 and a desire to maintain safety for all, the family will have a private, graveside service on Wednesday, October 21st officiated by Pastor Edward Vernoy of Community Bible Church, where Mrs. Mitchell was a member.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for contributions be made to the Frieda R. Mitchell Memorial Scholarship Fund, which will launch in 2021 with a celebration of her life and legacy and the first awards ceremony.
