He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Welton and Dorothy Welton; and his brother Kenneth Welton. He is survived by: his wife Patricia; and his children, Brenda, Kerns, Vernon W. Welton, Emilie Welton, Melissa Bryant and Allan Welton. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
