He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Edward Hawkins and Bessie Ruth Smith Hawkins; his grandson Troy Gable; and his brothers, Bobby Lee Hawkins and Billy Ray Hawkins.

He is survived by: his wife Sandra Lee Jedrykowski Hawkins; his daughters, Sherry Hawkins of Morganton, NC and Regina Gable (Doug) of Canon, GA; his siblings, Derrell Hawkins (Sandra) of Seneca and Norma Jean Hawkins of Seneca; and his grandchild Taylor Gable (Samantha) of Nicholson, GA..
