He was predeceased by: his parents, Verner E. Nichols and Betty B. Nichols; his fiancé Dale Owens; and his sister-in-law Susan Nichols. He is survived by: his stepdaughter Denise Smith; his siblings, Eddie Nichols, Wayne Nichols (Lynn), Joey Nichols (Glenda) and Sue Blackwell (Gary); and his stepgrandson Cody Smith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
