He is survived by: his wife Janice Lee Dove Swafford of Seneca; his sons, Keith Sheriff and Carlton Swafford; his brother Bill Swafford; his grandchildren, Andrew Sheriff, Nathan Sheriff, Zackary Swafford, Kyle Swafford, Carly Swafford, Laykin Patterson and Stephen Patterson; and his great grandchildren, Kennedy Sheriff, Lillian Sheriff, Levi Sheriff, Blakely Sheriff, Jameson Sheriff, Jaxon Sheriff, Aliyah Swafford, Natalie Swafford, Leilani Swafford, Logan Hamby, Cayden Ellenburg, Banks Patterson, Dustin, Ryleigh and Jace Cornwell.

Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Davenport Funeral Home (311 SC-11, West Union, SC 29696). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at the Heritage Memorial Gardens (4500 SC-11, Westminster, SC 29693).
