He is survived by: his wife Mary Poore Swaney; his daughters, Kathy Swaney Moss of Seneca, SC and Ginger Swaney Ellenberg of Burlington, NC; his siblings, Paries Owen (Pete) of Sandy Springs, SC, Ethel Campbell of Pendleton, SC, Jane Land of Pendleton, SC, Ann Jordan (Shawn) of Belton, SC, Bill Mckellar and Jamie Mckellar; his grandchildren, Derek Vissage, Heather Everett, Hannah Moss, Megan Couch and Duncan Ellenberg; and his great grandchildren, Makenzie Harris, Aiden Pass, Eli Moss, Emma Everett, Jaylee Couch and Ivy Blassingame.
