He was predeceased by: his parents, E. Lamar Hilley Jr. and Dessie Hilley Beasley; and his niece Lori Anne Payne. He is survived by: his close friend Bridget Sosebee Hilley; his children, Vanessa Hilley of Seneca and Austin Lamar Hilley of Clemson; and his sisters, Elaine (Mike), Lee, Debbie McClure (David), Donna Harden and Teresa Bates (David).
