He is survived by: his wife Sue Kourt Carter; his sons, John Charles Carter III (Andrea Meyer) of Destrahan and Steven Kourt Carter (Jana June) of Key West; his grandchildren, Evelyn and Leah; and his sisters, Minnie Kruger of Corinth, Cece Drew of Mullins and Jerri Franks of Seneca.
