It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmie Ray Chappell of Seneca, South Carolina, born in Salem, South Carolina, who passed away on March 4, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Emily Rogers Chappell of Seneca; his mother Sylvia Bernice Chappell Crowe; and his brother Hovie Chappell. He is survived by: his children, Jimmie Chappell, Jr. (Renee), Priscilla Lanning (Kevin) and Angelia Tarpey (Christopher); his siblings, John Crowe Matheson and Diane Crowe; his grandchildren, Zackery and Zoe; and his great grandchild Sterling.
