It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Furman Claude Gibson of Seneca, South Carolina, who passed away on October 14, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Furman Claude departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Furman Claude. Though Furman Claude may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Gibson and Ruby Gibson; and his brothers, James Gibson, Bob Gibson and Herman Gibson.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann Lacey Gibson of Seneca; his daughters, Lynn Gibson of Walhalla, SC and Leslie Gibson of Seneca, SC; his brother Don Gibson of Greenville, SC; and his grandson Tyler Gibson (Emmi) of Taylors, SC..
