With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Earnest Laylon Smith of Seneca, South Carolina, born in Salem, South Carolina, who passed away on September 16, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Doris Barker Smith of Seneca; his parents, Robert Earnest and Bessie Chapman Smith; and his brother Larry Smith. He is survived by: his daughter Sherry Watts (Bobby); his grandsons, Logan Watts (Kelly) and Lucas Watts (Haley); his great grandchildren, Conner Cooley, Ava Watts and Eli Watts; and his brother Lynn Smith (Sandra).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Emerson Rose Heart Foundation, PO Box 935, Clemson, SC 29633.
