He is survived by: his mother Mittie Annette Groomes; his children, Leighann Sherman (Jeremiah) of Walhalla, SC and Monica Jenkins (Khaill) of Westminster, SC; his grandchildren, Ansleigh Groomes, Brennan Sherman, Caidyn Sherman, Kharter Jenkins and Kailee Jenkins; and his siblings, Chris Groomes, Debra Kincaid, Carl Groomes and Pamela Crawford.
