It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Deborah Ruth Smith of Seneca, South Carolina, who passed away on October 25, 2024, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles "Bobby" Robert and Emmy Jones Smith. She is survived by: her aunts and uncles, Rae and Agatha "Gaggie" Cain; her husband Michael Eugene Smith; her daughters, Ashley Smith Murphy (Mark) of Lexington, SC, Jennifer "Chelley" Smith of Anderson, SC and Lindsey Elizabeth Smith (Brad) of Piedmont, SC; her siblings, Joseph R. Smith of Walhalla, SC and Laurie Smith of Seneca, SC; and her grandchildren, Ava Swift, Mark William Murphy Jr., Lilly Pearson, Brady Pearson, Charlotte Pearson and Miller Pearson.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Trinity Baptist Church (504 S Oak St, Seneca, SC 29678). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at the First Baptist Memorial Park (426 W Oak Hwy, Westminster, SC 29693).
