He was predeceased by: his sister Jessica Hope James. He is survived by: his parents, Danny Lee James and Pamela Annette Cox; his sons, Layne Carter Lee James of Seneca and Jason Gambrell of Westminster; his siblings, Jake James (Erica) of Greenville, SC, Gavin James (Bryanna) of Lexington, SC, Sarah Witherington (Josh Higdon) of Walhalla, SC and Leeann Woodson (Daniel) of Pelzer, SC; his nieces and nephews, Brianna Pearson (Eugene), Billy Sloan, Ryan Sloan, Faith Sloan and RosaLee James; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Raelynn Pearson, Noah Pearson and Walker Pearson.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Sandifer Funeral Home (512 E Main St, Westminster, SC 29693). A graveside service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Memorial Park (426 W Oak Hwy, Westminster, SC 29693).
