He was predeceased by: his wife Whyoma Nichols Davis of Seneca, SC; his parents, Clarence Davis and Mae Davis; and his siblings, Dewey Todd and Ophelia Morgan.

He is survived by: his children, Gary Davis (Debra Meadows), Pam Anderson, Kelly Dioguardi (John), Ann Davis and Teresa Brown (Jim); his grandchildren, Matthew Anderson, Mallory Anderson, Jennifer Hanner, Eric Davis, JD Brown, Mackenzie Brown, Donovan Dioguardi and Jillian Dioguardi; and his great grandchildren, Ian Davis, Carson Hanner and Harrison Curtis Hanner.
