He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Clodfelter Shouse; his parents, John C. Shouse and Eva Grubbs Shouse; and his siblings, Cyril Shouse, Ralph Shouse, Roy Shouse, James Shouse, Lee Shouse, Pearl Shouse Kitmer, May Shouse Sapp and Ollie Shouse Holt.

He is survived by: his children, William H. Shouse, Jr. (Nancy) of Seabrook, Bonnie Shouse Glass (Jerry) of Goose Creek, Patricia Shouse Trezevant (Mike) of Seabrook and Sarah Shouse Kolb (Jack) of Spartanburg; and his grandchildren, Amy Whittington of Seabrook, William Shouse, III (Vicki) of Seabrook, Adam Shouse (Shannon) of Seabrook, Allen Glass (Sonya), John Glass of Goose Creek, Lindsey Trezevant of Seabrook, Michael Trezevant of Arizona, Ben Kolb (Marissa) of Spartanburg, Emily Bishop (Caleb) of Spartanburg and Hogan Kolb of Spartanburg.
