He was predeceased by: his parents, Wavel Pilgrim Elam and Jenny Marie Clemens Elam; and his brother Scotty Elam. He is survived by: his wife Claudia Boyd Elam of Lake City; his children, Honey M. Elam and Brian K. Elam; his granddaughters, Isabel Elam and Gabrielle Elam; and his siblings, Pauline Vanhoose (Bobby), Janice Pauli (John) and Steve Elam.
