She was predeceased by: her parents, Talbert Hall and Carrie Miller Hall; her husband Woodrow Matthews; her daughter-in-law Sarah Matthews; her granddaughter Anna Kathryn Matthews; and her sisters, Mary Ethel Gaymon and Margaret Springs.
She is survived by: her sons, Donald Matthews and Ronald Matthews (Janet); her grandchildren, Glenn Matthews (Fran), Chasity Brown (Will) and Scott Matthews (Emily); her siblings, James Lee (Marie) and Loretta Tedder; and her niece Judy Brown. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
