It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sherwood Hal Allen of Scranton, South Carolina, born in Kingstree, South Carolina, who passed away on November 6, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Woodrow Allen, Sr. and Linnie Belle McKnight Allen; his children, Donna Robinson, Sheryl Broxton, Terry Allen and Woody Allen; and his stepdaughter Betty Sue Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Betty J. Allen of Scranton; his son Tommy Allen (Tina) of Gresham; and his siblings, Gail Royce, Shannon Allen and Thomas Woodrow Allen, Jr.. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren.
