It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rebecca Strickland Elmore of Scranton, South Carolina, born in Florence, South Carolina, who passed away on August 23, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her spouse H. Elmore; her parents, Jake Franklin Strickland, Sr. and Esther Vause Strickland; her son Ryan Elmore; and her sister Juanita S. Sparrow.
She is survived by: her children, Ed Elmore (Charmaine) of Scranton, Hugh Elmore (Betty) of Scranton, Bryan Elmore (Teresa) of Scranton and Libby Foster (Rohan) of Cayce; and her siblings, Jakie Strickland (Winnie Ann) of Scranton and Naomi Moore (David) of North Carolina. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
With the current outbreak of the COVID-19 variant we are requesting that the precautions of face masks and social distancing be used at the visitation and service.
