It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lydia Margaret Brogden Miles (Scranton, South Carolina), born in Oakland, California, who passed away on August 1, 2018, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her children, Barbara Miles Morgan, Sam Daniel Miles and Cliffton "Skippy" Miles; her brother Kennedy Miles; and her half-siblings, Irene Brogden, Douglas G. Froerer, Richard Brogden, Robert Brogden, Charles Brogden and Wesley Brogden.
She is survived by: her parents, Charles H. Brogden and Lydia F. Mincher; her spouse Sam Mack Miles of Scranton, S. C; her daughter Margaret "Peggy" M. Watts; her sister-in-law Leeila M. Barkowitz; her grandchildren, Anissa Watts Cotton, Joshua D. Morgan, Dana Thomas Redding, Amy R. Watts, Benjamin G. Thomas and Dare E. Thomas; her daughters, Irene Miles Thomas of Charlotte and Margaret Miles Watts of Fayetteville; and her sister-in-law Leeila M. Borkowitz. She is also survived by six grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren.
