He was predeceased by: his parents, Pete McKenzie and Leslie Poston Hill; his daughter Crystal Lynne McKenzie; and his sister Wanda Jean McKenzie. He is survived by: his fiancée Tonya McDonald of Coward; his grandchildren, Angelina Reynolds of Olanta and Dashawn Brown of Scranton; his siblings, Robert McKenzie (Red), Catherine McKenzie Lee (Mike), Dale McKenzie (Donna), Terry McKenzie (Christopher McKenzie), Ronnie McKenzie (Sherry McKenzie) and Jerry McKenzie (Britt McKenzie) of Turbeville; his nieces and nephews, Brandon McKenzie, Tiffany Rauch (Tommy), Ashley McDougal, Chance McKenzie (Michaela), Travis McKenzie, Reva McKenzie, Jamie Matthews, Rodney Ivey, Rebecca Ivey, Connar McKenzie, Braydon McKenzie, Miah McKenzie and Cohen McKenzie; and his friend Anne Reynolds of Olanta.
