He is survived by: his parent Effie Alice Powell Hicks; his children, Jerry Hicks (Patty) of Florence, Joanne Fennel (Arnold) of Johnsonville, Vivian Hicks (James Matthews) of Coward and Joseph "Sam" Hicks of Scranton; his sister Sue Bailey (Frank) of Scranton; and his daughter Linda Nettles (Don).
