It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gwen Parker of Scranton, South Carolina, who passed away on December 14, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Vernon Watson Parker; her parents, David James Cole and Jo Ann Phillips Smith; her son Mart Vernon Parker; her stepfather Francis B. "Smitty" Smith; and her sisters, Mary Cole Satterfield and Linda Cole Mitchell.
She is survived by: her daughter Stacey Lynn Parker of Scranton; and her uncle Jimmy Phillips of Hebron.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Carolina Funeral Home (215 E Hwy 378 Byp, Scranton, SC 29591). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Carolina Funeral Home Chapel (215 E Hwy 378 Byp, Scranton, SC 29591). A burial was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at the Lake City Memorial Park.
