He was predeceased by: his spouse Shirley Ann Altman Springs; his parents, Doward William Springs and Bessie Matthews Springs Driggers; his siblings, Aileen Hanna, William Springs, Betty Jo Springs and James D. "Peanut" Springs; and his siblings-in-law, Bill Hanna, Douglas Waldrep and Eula Mae Springs.
He is survived by: his children, Sandra Prosser (Terry) of Kingstree, Donna Pruitt (Ron) of Florence and Jamie Springs (Rechelle) of Hemingway; his grandchildren, Jessica Hatchell (Randy) of Florence, Rusty Perry of Charleston, Kelsey Pruitt, Robert Breece, Jr. of Columbia, Hunter Springs of Hemingway, Haleah Ann Lynch (Austin) of Effingham, Jordan Moore of Hemingway, Amy Castillo (Alonso) of Lawrenceville, GA and Justin Prosser of Madisonville, KY; his great grandchildren, Ethan, Avery, Cole, Brentley, Olivia, Emsleigh, Bryson, Asher, Sawyer and Ellie Jo; and his sisters, Lois Wagner of Murrells Inlet and Lucille Mauldin of Murrells Inlet.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Carolina Funeral Home (215 E Hwy 378 Byp, Scranton, SC 29591). A funeral service was held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Carolina Funeral Home Chapel (215 E Hwy 378 Byp, Scranton, SC 29591). A burial was held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 at the Of God Cemetery.
