He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbert G. Miles and Ella Norwood Miles; his children, Eugene Miles, Sam Miles, Jackie Miles Cole and Ella Ann "Sissy" Miles Parnell; his siblings, James Boatwright Miles, E. J. Miles and Carinel Matthews; and his half-sister Shirley Ann Miles.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara M. Miles; his daughters, Trenda M. McKenzie and Sandy Rauch (Tommy); and his children-in-law, Swain Cole, Roy Parnell and Theresa Sanderford. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren.
